Why Dark Romantasy?

There's something about the darkness that just pulls me in. Not the kind that exists for shock value alone. The kind that lingers. The darkness that asks uncomfortable questions. The kind that doesn't look away from the sharp edges of love, power, and what people are willing to become for both.
That's the space I find myself drawn to again and again. I don't write perfect love stories. I write stories where devotion can become dangerous. Where power is intoxicating. Where love doesn't always save you, it sometimes changes you. Sometimes gently, sometimes irrevocably.
Dark romantasy, to me, is about tension. The push and pull between desire and destruction. It's about character who are not clean or easy. Characters who make choices that matter, who cross lines they can't uncross.
And despite that, you still understand them (maybe even root for them). Because at the core of it, these stories are about connection. About longing. About the ache of wanting something (or someone) so deeply it reshapes you.
If you're here there's a good chance you feel that too.
So what can you expect from my books?
Morally gray characters, high emotional stakes, power that comes with a cost, and love that is consuming, complicated, and not always safe. Oh, and worlds that don't soften their punches.
If that sounds like your kind of story... you're in the right place.

Not all cages are made of iron.
Some feel a lot like devotion.
